Meet the counselor
Suzanne Stokes, EdS, NCC, NCSC, LPC
After 10 years as an elementary school counselor working with students ages 4–12, Stokes has moved into private practice in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, where she continues to help children process challenging thoughts and feelings and work toward success. Additionally, she works with adults on issues related to anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress management, grief and loss, relationship concerns, and overall emotional well-being.
Stokes has a bachelor’s degree in communication and a master’s degree in counselor education, both from Mississippi State University. She also earned an education specialist degree from The University of Alabama in counselor education.
Stokes is a National Certified Counselor (NCC), National Certified School Counselor (NCSC), and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She is a member of the American Counseling Association, Mississippi Counseling Association, and Chi Sigma Iota.
